Bagua Shoes – 2009 Collection

fondgris_20

Bagua, a beautifully simple shoe direct from France, is the brainmelting project of Philippe HADEY, Jean Baptiste DEWAVRIN and Jay ONE. The idea came to them while watching Bruce Lee and Kung Fu movies one night and wanting bring the oldest shoe in the world into the modern age. Just like the original footwear Bagua based these on, the shoe is lightweight and comfortable. Made from mesh or perforated leather, the sneaker makes the promise to have you looking good, but sadly not kicking ass like Bruce Lee.

Fridge Recorder

drinkNo. The Fridge Recorder ($9) isn’t an incognito recording device helping you solve the mystery of who drank all your beer and ate all your cheese. Rather, it’s a neat little device that plays a prerecorded message of your choice everytime the fridge light is illuminated. On a diet and find yourself hunting for a midnight snack? “I really don’t think you need that stick of cookie dough right now, tubby,” should deter you from chowing down.

Voodoo Doughnut – The “No Name”

The “No Name” Doughnut comes via The Chocolate Peanut Butter Gallery. The reason it has no name is because the creators, Voodoo Doughnut in Portland, OR, just couldn’t come up with a good enough name to best describe a doughnut with chocolate, rice crispies, and peanut butter layered on top of it. I dare you to…

Mastermind Japan is all about living the high life. So when they decided to partner with Fillico, Japan’s “Jewelry Water” company (whatever that means), it’s no surprise the result is a series of fine crystal encrusted bottles. Next time you and your friends find yourselves debating the best brand of bottled water, bust out this gem and shut them all up.

Lomography Store – NYC

lomography

Say what you will about the hype of living in NYC – it’s got the best stores in the nation. And with the newest addition of the Lomography Store moving into Greenwich Village, it just got that much cooler. It is not only going to be a store for the popular cameras, it will serve as an embassy for all things Lomography: workshops, guest speakers, etc.
