100 Days of Ties: Day 19: That’s Geometric

Shirt: H&M / Jeans: Levi's / Shoes: LL Bean Signature / Tie, Belt: J. Crew / Park: Boulder, CO

Oh vagrants at 6:30AM in the bus station, how I adore our witty, gin-breathed banter. “That there’s a geometrical tie….” Why yes it is I suppose. “Okay….*hiccup* Seeya bro.” Bye.

100 Days of Ties: Day 18: In the belly of the beast

Market Street Bus Terminal: Jacket, shirt, pants: J. Crew / Belt: Tanner Goods / Tie: Graham Withers

Not that I’m to the 9′s all the time, but there is something satisfying looking sharper than 90% of the travelers on my bus in the mornings and evenings. Surrounded mainly by workout-shorted, jean-sagging, t-shirted, and otherwise somewhat filthy college kids and the usual allotment of those taking mass trans (need I describe?), bringing some class back to the art of traveling still feels good. Today, I snapped a shot before boarding in the belly of the beast, AKA, Denver’s Market Street Station Bus Terminal.

100 Days of Ties: Themes

I have been nothing but honored to see this community grow and get your tie pitcures on the daily, but to keep things interesting, I think we should come up with some themed days and ideas.

Talking to my buddy, Matt, over at Fine and Dandy, I mulled over the following sentiments:
So many cats have come forward saying they appreciate me trying to bring back a little class to places it seems to have been lost. I have a few more ideas on how to reintroduce the gentleman into society: Dressing up for travel, sporting events (why should derby be the only occassion we dress up?) and a variety of other affairs. Dinners, nights on the town, and all the other situations that have gone by the wayside in terms of dressing the part.

That said, I say we reclaim a small piece of the gentleman (and gentlewoman) life by snapping a picture of you in a tie at, say, the airport boarding your next flight.

Get the idea?

100 Days of Ties: Day 17: Sweater Weather

Tie, Pants, Sweater: J. Crew / Shirt: H&M / Watch: Modern Amusement / Shoes: Sperry / Office: Vacant

Though it is by no means “sweater weather,” it was chilly when I left my house at 6 this morning, and I wanted to change it up and not wear my Utility jacket. Enlisting one of my favorite Crew sweaters was my choice, which I am not sure will see its way through the entire day, as we’re supposed to hit the 90′s yet again. Ah well, it’s good looking, and September is almost at its close.

100 Days of Ties: Day 16: Plaiditude

Tie: Unis / Shirt: J. Crew

Before anyone says anything, I am well aware I am in dire need of a haircut. Last one I got in Boulder, I was severely butchered and now need someone to do something amazing with the mop atop my skull. So, yes, I realize the shagginess and the necessary steps I must take to relieve myself of such a mess.

It took 16 days, But I finally repeated a tie. Today’s Unis was actually the tie that launched the 100 Days. By no means am I through my neckwear collection, I just grabbed this one and ran with it.
