Around 4:30 this morning, I was snapped out of my R.E.M. state by the opening and closing of my front door, marking Ben’s departure from my condo and Denver. It’s a bittersweet feeling when houseguests leave. On the one hand, it’s nice to have the place to myself. Yet, on the other, I really enjoyed the company…especially the fact that Ben as well enjoyed incoherent Amazon.com shopping as much as I. It was funny waking up the next morning to two open computers with shopping carts stocked, but no purchases made.
Somewhere over the course of the evening, I stumbled upon Altivo’s Concealed watch and remember being deadset on buying it. I must have got distracted by something as I did not end up following through with the purchase. We were watching massive amounts of Undeclared, so we most likely got on a tangent about Judd Apatow, Adam Sandler, etc.
Also found in the AM in my digi-cart was Season 1&2 of California Dreams. Now as much as I loved watching this program back in the day on WGN after school, the DVDs are still upwards of $26. No thanks. When you consider you can pick up a season of the Simpsons on DVD for around $20 (less if it’s before season 5, it just isn’t a fiscally responsible purchase. Luckily, even in my distorted mindframe of the evening, I was able to comprehend this and fall asleep before taking a chunk out of my bank account.
