The Denver Dream. The scantily clad one…

dreamLast Spring and into the early Summer, I got really into the Colorado Mammoth, our pro indoor lacrosse team. The games are so action-packed: The music never stops playing, so the momentum is perpetual, the fans are loud, and any sport where one can chant “The Ref Beats His Wife!” sounds like a winner to me. I thought it would be cool to get all into the team, know the players, their stats, where they came from, etc, for no other reason than to have some random knowledge not a many others possess. Same could be said for Denver’s lingerie football team, the Dream.

For instance, did you know that this is Skylar Kreysar’s first season in the league? Hailing from San Diego, the 5’9″ 23 year-old wide receiver weighs in at a fit 125 lbs and dreams of one day flying fighter jets at airshows in Kentucky. Alright, I made that last part up, but that’s the sorta detail I want to know. That said, they play tomorrow night. Anyone wanna go with me?

  1. Do me a favor… when you’re busy investigating the details find out which of these “athletes” played in college?

As a woman who has played on both U.S. and foreign soil – who has fought for respect (and earned it on the court), and – as an All-American Div II bball player – leagues like the one you highlight above do nothing to advance gender equality and integrity in athletics. You either play sports for the passion and your God given talent or you decide to become a stripper. We shouldn’t be combining the two. The love of the game should inspire all to play – not to show off your breasts that were prob paid for.
